In many ways, this morning we are waking up to a completely different country than we lived in yesterday. The stakes were so high. The pervasive tension, stress, and anxiety of not knowing who we would elect as President that has haunted all of us, is a thing of the past. For some, it’s been replaced by relief, a huge celebration, a victory of epic proportions. For others, it’s replaced by deafening sadness, outrage and feelings of hopelessness.
I woke up this morning extraordinarily aware of how much I love you both.
For months, I’ve watched my dearest friends line up on both sides of fence. I’ve watched the hurtful comments and posts hurled from every direction. I’ve held my tongue and prayed my heart out. . . more for my people, than even for our nation.
Today, I believe in all of you, and the opportunity we have to rally together.
