We’re in the process of remodeling our house. . . let me just give you some advice: NEVER DO IT! I don’t know if I’ll look back and say it was worth it, but right now the answer is definitely not. So last night’s GNO was especially wonderful because I could actually sit in a chair that wasn’t covered in sawdust, in a room that had nicely spaced furniture, and use a cup without rinsing it out first. All kinds of good things like that.
But it was so much more.
Last night I got to hang out with women who are intent on making the world a better place. In the middle of all the pain, frustration, judgement and anger going on all around us, we created a peaceful, loving space. We breathed deeply. We made eye contact and listened to each other’s stories. There was no judgement or anger in that room, just love.
That’s why I’m declaring that space my new living room.
It’s not about the room, though it is lovely. It’s about the women in that room. It’s about the open spirit they bring with them. It’s the support between women who decide to allow themselves to be seen. It’s the joy that shows up when women choose gratitude and contentment.
It’s about the encouragement and hope that fill our hearts when we realize we are not alone.
We’re never alone. We are sisters, all of us. Let’s keep making these kinds of spaces our living room, together.
Because love like this, makes more room. . . for living.
to more love,
Crystal
