Your onlyness

Your OnlynessI tend to move fast in relationships when I meet someone I admire.  I’m a bit of an all-in  kind of person.  Yesterday was no different.

I had one webinar on the books and the rest of my day was supposed to be focused on packing my family for our trip to Utah.

Well… during the one webinar, I was introduced in passing, to a woman who is a now a mentor of mine.  She doesn’t really know it yet, but I am smitten.  I immediately bought her ebook and sent it to the printer for the flight later that day.

Tara Gentile is a beautiful leader who is focused on helping women run business that change the world, because they thrive in the process.

I spent the entire flight last night with my nose in the pages and a pencil circling, highlighting and scribbling notes in the margins.  Her book is pure genius for the exact place I’ve intentionally brought myself this week.   *big happy dance*

In her book, Tara references another woman who I apparently need to get to know, pronto.  Her name is Nilofer Merchant.  She wrote a book called, 11 Rules for Creating Value in the #SocialEra in which she refers to your unique makeup as your Onlyness. She says, “Onlyness is that thing that only one particular person can bring to a situation. It includes the skills, passions, and purpose of each human.”

I LOVE that.

Your Onlyness, is a simple way to describe my vision of why we need you to live your heartstory.   You, and only you, can bring the world the thing that your heart is whispering, calling you to do.  Only you have your trials, your struggles, your genetics, your history, your training, your experience, your story, YOUR heart and soul.

Only you.

No one can take your seat.  No one can fill your shoes.

There is no substitute for you.

I just thought today, you might need to be reminded.

Bring us your Onlyness today.

We need you.

to more love,

Crystal
