Before we left Florida, I sat at the bar in Michelle’s kitchen, talking with her about life sharing some of the struggles I’m facing. While she shared her hard-earned wisdom from the years, I told her about the constant shame I fight about the wild, curvy road that has been my entrepreneurial journey. It’s never looked like a clear path from point A to point B. It’s been more like a winding river, whimsically twisting and turning in every direction.
But it always, eventually continues in the same general direction.
The direction of encouraging, connecting and inspiring women to get out of their comfort zones and replace the negative stories playing in their minds with stories of love so they can show up and be the person only they are meant to be in the world. That’s always been the goal. It hasn’t changed.
When I started out, I didn’t know where that path would lead me.
I certainly thought it would be more straightforward. But what I’ve learned, is that it’s actually the winding path itself, that reveals the direction I need to go. Without the twists and turns, without the inlets, dips and dives, I wouldn’t have become the person I needed to be. Without the hard choices of the past, I might not be courageous enough to make the next one, that so desperately needed to be taken.
Without the path, I can’t serve the way I’m meant to serve.
So if you’re in the middle of an unexpected twist in your journey today, remember to honor the path.
It’s part of your becoming.
If you’re returning from what seems like a pointless detour, honor the path sister.
You’re still heading in the right direction.
Stay on the path, especially if it feels like the only thing you can do.
to more love,
Crystal
