I was trying so hard to be hyper-focused on wrapping up loose ends for the day when I noticed a note in my inbox from Jan Norton. She was inviting me to attend a luncheon in Fort Worth with a speaker who leads a capital investment firm.
My initial reaction was, Thanks, but no thanks.
I don’t have the time to drive an hour to hear a talk about investing. Especially a man, who sees business as all about the money, and is hyper-focused on what he can get out of out. In my mind I said, Focus! Focus! Focus! I’ve gotta stay focused on building the business.
