Love surpasses knowledge

Love Surpasses Knowlege HeartStories

Have you ever caught yourself thinking, “I will try that as soon as I learn a little more about it” or “Once I figure out the right words to say, I’ll have that conversation, write that blog, or take a stand on that issue.

I catch myself thinking those things a lot.

The problem is, I never feel like I know enough.   The time is never quite right because I’m just not 100% sure I understand it enough to do something about it.   I want to do something about it, but I’m not convinced that what I do will actually help.   What if I actually end up making it worse?

I’m guessing you feel that way too sometimes.

There are things in your life you really want to try, to say, or to do, but you’re waiting until you feel more confident in your knowledge.  You don’t want to make a mistake, to say or do something wrong, that might sabotage the thing you most want to make better.

It’s a scary and stuck place to be isn’t it?

Something I’ve learned from being in those stuck places is that intention makes all the difference.

If my intent is to know more, to try to be the most educated person in the room, I’ll never feel like I know enough.  But if my intent is to love more, to make a difference, then that’s what ends up happening.

Love surpasses knowledge.

Every.  Single.  Time.

It’s not that knowledge isn’t important.  It’s extremely important to learn more and to make educated decisions.  It’s just that if you’re not 100% sure, lean into love.

If your intention is to love, serve and be generous with those around you, it will take you much further than knowledge alone ever will.

As you go about your day today, think about your intentions.

If you catch yourself holding back, waiting for more knowledge before you do something that has the potential to make a big difference in that moment, like saying, I’m sorry, or taking a stand on something important, don’t.   Think about your intention to love the person or people you’re interacting with and say it, write it, do it.

Think about what might happen if you don’t.

Your love will always be more important than your knowledge.

to more of your love,

Crystal
