Who will you become?

One year from now, who will you become?

As we set all of our goals and resolutions for what we want to accomplish in 2016, I wonder how much we are taking into consideration who we will need to become to accomplish our goals.

There’s one thing I heard over and over this year talking with female social entrepreneurs.  It’s that they never expected, never anticipated, how much they would personally have to grow to accomplish their business goals.  Everyone expects long hours, sleepless nights, blood, sweat and tears, but most don’t expect the intensity and demand for personal growth. And it’s absolutely required.

It’s required for them, it’s required for me, and it’s required for you too.

My Dad taught me to be a huge fan of Jim Rohn, an entrepreneur, author and motivational speaker. His rags to riches story played a large part in his work, which inspired so many to develop personally.   One of my favorite messages of his is focused on becoming.

After you become a millionaire, you can give all of your money away because what’s important is not the million dollars; what’s important is the person you have become in the process of becoming a millionaire.  What it makes of you will always be the far greater value than what you get.”  ~ Jim Rohn

When you look back one year from now, the highlight won’t be the goals you achieved, it will be the person you’ve become all along the way.

Everyday, we are becoming.  We’re either becoming more loving, or less.  More patient, or less.  More educated, or less.  More courageous, or less.  More experienced, or less.  More intentional, or less.  More generous, or less.

Your intentions and goals for 2016 will transform you, not by accomplishing them, but in the daily choices you make to get there.

One year from now, who will you have become?

We’re waiting.  We’re watching.  We need you.

to more love,

Crystal
